People in different regions of Russia dress very differently due to the varying climate. These are just some examples of clothing in Russia. Remember that this is TRADITIONAL Russian clothing.
In Russia, the men wear shirts called kosovorotka. These are long shirts with buttons at the collar. They were used as everyday wear until the early 20th century but are now mainly used for folk dancing and for souvenirs.
A woman's dress in Russia is called a sarafan. It is a long, sleeveless dress and is usually worn with a blouse. It is worn in the summer without a blouse and silk ones are worn on special occasions.
Russian clothing is designed to show the spirit of their culture and to be convenient. The sarafan was designed especially for work, and are brightly colored.

Russian dance is an important part of their culture. Folk dances in Russia

Food
Russian food is very diverse, so we'll look at some of it in the order that you
might eat it.

First come the appetizers. Some Russian appetizers are salted cucumber( shown to the left), salted cabbage, and fresh vegetables.
Next, comes the main course. A few Russian main courses are pelmeni( shown to the left), kotlety or chops, and vareniky or pastries filled with nuts and berries.
Lastly, there are the desserts. Some examples of Russian desserts are bliny or pancakes, piroshky or pastries, and Tvorog or cottage cheese.

Literature
Russian literature is often very depressing and many Russian books have themes of misery, sadness, suffering, and torment. The reason for this is because of how many Russians have faced these themselves. A lot of the authors of these books have had firsthand experience of grief and agony. Some Russian authors are- Leo Tolstoy, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Nikolai Gogol, Boris Pasternak and Alexander Solzhenitsyn.
